<p>I am an artist who has suspended creating paintings for creating the best novel I can, concerning a topic which has fascinated me since art school: the provenance of art and how it is lost, misidentified, and restored until the original work is a shadow of its creator's intention. History kills, misinterprets, fails to translate, and manipulates facts. The life of a painting is as precarious as human death. If only a painting could speak.</p>

I have worked in the field of graphic design and fine art, had my own art gallery near Loch Ness, in Scotland, and lived for a time in the Findhorn Community of Scotland.</p>
