The Author Salon vs. The Agent Query? Requests for Dozens of Projects in All Genres.

In keeping with its mission to serve as an ongoing bridge between its aspiring author members and professionals in the business, Author Salon has been actively reaching out to major New York publishing editors as well as literary agents on both coasts to promote a variety of projects each and every month. In other words, we've been querying on behalf of our writers, providing them with the visibility and promotion they need to become published.

Already we have received over two dozen requests for partials and full manuscripts from major New York publishers such as Random House, Penguin Books USA, Grand Central, St. Martins, Harper Collins and Ace Roc for both fiction and nonfiction projects by excellent writers verging on break out. Literary agencies, including Dijkstra, ICM, AEI Films, Fine Print, KimberleyCameron Associates, and more, have asked to see over three dozen projects across a wide range of genres.

Author Salon writer workshops have enabled writers onsite to successfully edit, position and pitch their nonfiction projects and novel manuscripts, thereby securing the aforementioned requests via Author Salon promotion.
